Hello Abbotts Creek Families!
I am originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and started my music teaching career in Fairfax County, Virginia, and later moved to Northern California where I was a nanny for ten years. I missed teaching and was hired to start an Elementary Orff Program in the Ross Valley School District in San Anselmo, California, where I taught for five years. After the birth of my daughter, I wanted to be closer to my roots so my husband and I moved to Wake County where I have been teaching for the past thirteen years. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Flute Performance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Go Hokies! I hold an Orff Level I and Level II certification from the San Francisco Mills College Orff Course. In my spare time I enjoy reading, volunteering, knitting, machine embroidery, cooking , playing my flute and walking.
I am excited to start my 5th year at ACES, singing, playing and creating music. Looking forward to another great year! Drum roll.......Go ACES!!!! #acesalltogether
